Withdrawal of Article in Press
Articles in Press are those articles that have been accepted for publication without assigned volume, issue or pages and have not yet been published online in its full text version. The HTML and PDF of these referred articles are removed in situations where they contain errors, have multiple submissions, infringe professional ethics, liable to plagiarism, there is fraudulent use of data and/or other faults. The process of withdrawing article involves removal of content and replacement with a HTML page and PDF with inscription that the article has been withdrawn according to the EL-74 withdrawal Policy.
There could also be the retraction of an article by authors or EL-74 editors to correct some of the earlier mentioned errors in submission or publication as pointed out by the scholarly society. The following steps are involved in the retraction process.
There must be a signed written notice of retraction either from author or editors
The online link to original paper is replaced written retraction notice.
A new link is made available for the corrected article.
The corrected hard copy article appears as “ERRATA” in the next volume.
Where an article contains serious defamatory and illegal issues, the online database of the article will be removed completely and replaced with a screen indicating the article has been removed for legal reasons. It should however be noted that the original article is kept in the archives of El-74.
